MORE INFORMATION
I get a blank screen or error message
If you are trying to open an online document, be patient as it may take a little while for the document to load.  Your cursor will look like an hourglass when you have it over your web browser window while the document loads.  You may also need to have a plug-in for PDF forms. If so, install the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat reader after unistalling all old versions.  Make sure that Adobe Acrobat reader is set as the default to open all PDF documents.  Click here for more help with reader settings.
Technical Difficulties If you are trying to open a link to another website and you get an error message, It means one of several things.  First, the website may have moved or changed names so the link is no longer valid and needs updated.  The website may be down or temporarily offline.  Your internet connection may be temporarily down or disabled.

After you have tested your browser to make sure you are connected, it would be greatly appreciated if you could let us know what links seem to be problematic.  Please email the link and the page to me so that I can get the link updated as soon as possible.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I can not print an online form
You must use the print button provided with Adobe Acrobat Reader - See below:

Images and text are too small or large

This is due to the screen resolution you are currently using.  Research was done to make this web site fit the needs of the majority of users.  According to user statistics, the majority of people on the web use 1024x768 screen resolution or higher.  Thus, our web site is designed to fit those user preferences.  If the print and images are too small, decrease your resolution.   Too large, increase your resolution.

I have questions about web site design
Great.  I am always willing to assist people who are in need of web design assistance.  There are any number of software packages out there that will enable you to design a static or noninteractive web page.  Once you begin to add things such as online forms, data feeds or other interactive elements, you should consider hiring a trained programmer.
HyperLink On of the best web sites out there for basic training in web design, layout, scripting and programming is the W3 Schools web site.  There are two features I like about this site.  First, it is free to use.   Second, it has interactive examples that allow you to practice your skills.   I am on this site all the time for the latest in web design information.
HyperLink Another tool you are going to need is image manipulation software.  Again, there are any number of software companies out there to choose from.  One very good and free option is GIMP.  GIMP is the primary image software used on this website, but I also use others such as Photoshop.

WHY WE USE PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT (PDF) FORMS

All printable forms on the City of Chubbuck's web site are presented in Portable Document Format (PDF).  PDFs are used because they maintain the original look and feel of large documents, allow us to place more publications on the web in a quick and efficient manner, and it is free for anyone to download and use.  Further, PDF documents are independent of platforms, applications, and distribution media.  Thus, we do not have to create duplicate forms for every known word processor variety on every known operating system.

Please follow the instructions on the Adobe Acrobat Reader download page to install the Acrobat Reader.  View minimum system requirements for all operating systems.
