As we look forward to 2013 let me express my gratitude for all who have contributed in any way to making our community better in 2012. We have been able to see progress in many different ways. I will review much of this in the State of the City message that I will prepare in January and have posted on the web site. Much of what makes a city successful is the small seemingly unnoticed acts of neighborly awareness and kindness that happen daily. Whether your contribution to our success has been large or small, I express appreciation for your acts of good citizenship.
We again hope for more snow in our mountains as winter progresses to provide us with the needed moisture to fill the reservoirs for this summer. As a reminder , weather creates its usual problems with slick roads, cold cars in the morning, and snow removal. The City crews do their best to keep traffic moving as safely as possible. Your help is very needed and appreciated in keeping your sidewalks and driveways open and helping with neighbors that have trouble doing so themselves. Also please slow down and be extra courteous in driving on slick and icy roads.
The ending of a year and the beginning of a new year are times that most people take stock of where they are and resolve to improve. As our collective future seems to be somewhat out of our control, I hope we can review all the good in our lives and begin the next year with a whole lot of optimism. I continue to be aware of things that are done within the City that are very beneficial but mostly go unrecognized. This kind of service means a great deal to the general well being of
our City. It is our goal as your City government to enhance the desire to continue these acts of service and help you be proud of the City in which you live. Chubbuck is a great place to live and do business. We wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year!
