CITY CLERK'S OFFICE OVERVIEW
The Clerks Office handles several areas of City business such as utility billing, accounts payable, business license renewal, and city records requests.  Payments for utility bills may be made in our office, via the drop box in our parking lot or online.
CITY UTILITY BILLING RATES SUMMARY
The City of Chubbuck provides each citizen with three basic utilities: water, sewer and sanitation.  All three utilities are billed on the same bill that is mailed to you in the last week of each month.  Your utility bill is due on the fifteenth of each month.  Residential rates are listed in the chart below.

WATER SERVICE RATE: $23.10
SEWER SERVICE RATE: +  $37.00
SANITATION SERVICE RATE: +  $17.45
TOTAL MONTHLY RATES: $77.55
 VARIABLE / OPTIONAL MONTHLY UTILITY RATES
METERED WATER USAGE RATE: +  $1.15 per 1000 Gallons *
ADDITIONAL SANITATION CART RATE: +  $11.20 per cart
OPTIONAL RECYCLING CART RATE: +  $5.00 per cart
* Some water meters are not read from November to February.  For those citizens, you will not be billed for water usage for these months until your March utility bill.  View the City of Chubbuck utility billing web page for more information about utility billing, starting or ending service, or emergency services.
GENERAL INFORMATION FOR CITY OF CHUBBUCK VOTERS
The City of Chubbuck has designated several polling places for the upcoming elections based on precinct boundaries.  Polling places are as follows:

Polling places are typically open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.  Be prepared to show picture identification.  If you are not yet registered to vote, you can register during regular office hours prior to the election at Chubbuck City Hall.   You may view a sample ballot here.

You may go to the Court House any time during business hours. The County Clerk’s Office will mail you a ballot that must be returned no later the date specified.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q: Can the City notarize a document for me?
A: The City does have notaries but they are only authorized to notarize City business documents. There are outside sources that do notarize personal documents such as the UPS Store located at 775 Yellowstone Ave in Pocatello.
Q: Who do I contact about another's conduct, property or animals?
A: Please contact the Chubbuck Police Department at 237-7172.  The Code Enforcement Division handles property concerns.  The Animal Control Division will assist you with animal related issues.  All other concerns will be forwarded to the appropriate division given the circumstance.
Q: I would like to start a business, am I required to have a license?
A: Any person or entity conducting any type of business for any length of time within Chubbuck City limits is required to have a Chubbuck City business license.  You can apply for a license through the City's Planning Department.  If you have questions you can call Larry Kohntopp at 237-2430.
